German industrial
conglomerate Siemens AG (SIE.XE) Wednesday said it has received an
order from Spanish engineering company Elecnor SA (ENO.MC) to supply
equipment for power plants in Venezuela.

FACTS:
-Financial details of the order weren't
disclosed.
-The power plants, which are a part of Juan
Manuel Valdez Guiria project, will be constructed in two phases. The
plant to be constructed in phase one will have a total capacity of
700 megawatts and will start operating in 2015.
-Siemens
will supply gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, instrumentation
and control equipment etc.
-Elecnor SA is constructing
the plants on a turnkey basis for Petroleos de Venezuela S. A.
