The Greek Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA) has published a new Feed-in Tariff scheme for PV installations that took effect on 1 June 2013.The new FiTs will apply retroactively to all PV systems installed since 1 February 2013; the over 40% tariff reduction has been signed off both for ground-mounted and roof installations.
The ministry decided to reduce the FiTs due to the PV component price drop and to reduce the deficit of the Operator of Electricity Market SA (Lagie), the Greek government agency responsible for distributing PV incentives. According to the new scheme, ground-mounted systems up to 100 kWp will receive 0.120€/kWp, ground-mounted systems larger than 100 kWp will receive 0.095€/kWp, rooftop systems will receive 0.125€/kWp and systems in autonomous islands will get 0.100€/kWp. All tariffs will be reduced gradually.
