A joint venture between the regional units of Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA.LN), Total S.A. (FP.FR) and China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (600028.SH) will build a shared lubricants facility in Singapore, the companies said in a joint statement Tuesday.

The partners will build
Lube
Park
at
the Tuas industrial complex in southwestern
Singapore
, and
include import, export and storage facilities for the adjacent lube oil
blending plants and grease manufacturing plants of the companies, the statement
said.
Construction on the park will begin later this year and it is expected to be
completed by 2015. It will be built by Singapore Lube Park Pte. Ltd., a joint
venture between Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte. Ltd., Sinopec Lubricant (
Singapore
) Pte.
Ltd. and Total Oil
Asia
Pacific Pte. Ltd.
Sinopec has already started its lubricants plant in Tuas. Shell's new facility
at Tuas will replace its plant in Woodlands and Total's new facility will
replace two plants in Jurong Pandan and in Pioneer, the companies said.
