Eni SpA (E) said it expected the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan to start
output by the end of the September with a daily output of 75,000 barrels
of oil, a top official of the Italian energy company said Thursday.
The daily output will rise to 180,000 barrels in the first
half of 2014, climbing to 370,000 barrels by 2015, said Claudio
Descalzi, who heads Eni's exploration and production division.
Mr. Descalzi made the comments at the company's conference call on second-quarter results.
