Saudi Arabia
produced 10.03 million barrels a day of crude oil in July, compared with 9.64
million barrels a day in June, a Gulf source told Dow Jones Newswires Friday.
"This is a big indication that the market is very healthy and there is
strong demand," the person said.
The kingdom, which is the largest oil exporter in the world, supplied 9.9
million barrels a day of crude to the market in July, compared with 9.6 million
barrels a day in June, the person said. Oil production in
Saudi
Arabia
sometimes differs to the
amount supplied to the market if the kingdom is adding or withdrawing oil from
storage.
Direct burning of crude oil within
Saudi
Arabia
to generate energy fell
during the month because of a larger domestic supply of natural gas, the person
said.
