Energy group Mytilineos along with constructor Hellenic Technodomiki are in talks with refiner Hellenic Petroleum for future cooperation in the electricity and natural gas field and renewables, Mytilineos said Friday.
“If the negotiations are proven fruitful-following the assessment of the assets of the three groups- Hellenic Petroleum will provide its existing activities, including the Thessaloniki Energy Company( a combined-cycle natural gas-fired unit of 390 MW) and it will participate in the lignite power stations and the lignite mine exploitation,” Mytilineos said in a statement.
Mytilineos and Hellenic Technodomiki aim at the creation of a powerful Greek energy group of European size and prospects “in order to effectively promote energy investments in the deregulated energy market in Greece and the neighbouring area”.
