Exxon Mobil said Thursday that its third quarter net profits rose to $10.49 billion from $9.92 billion in the respective period of 2005.
In contrast, revenues fell to $99.59 billion from $100.72 billion last year.
The world largest public oil company said that production rose about 7% to about 4 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, from about 3.7 million barrels of oil equivalent per day a year earlier.
