Oil giant BP cut on Tuesday its future production forecasts. The company said that it hoped to produce 4 million barrels a day of oil equivalent by 2009, an 18% reduction than its previous guidance a year ago. The reduction in growth estimates was the latest blow for the company following a string of safety and operational failings over the past two years.
