Petrom Announces Gas Reserves in Eastern Romania (11/06/2007)

Romania’s energy group Petrom said that it has discovered natural gas reserves of estimated capacity of 130,000 cubic meters daily in the eastern part of the country, local media reported. Exploitation could start by the end of the year. A senior Petrom official said that the development of the field was to begin soon so as to start production in late 2007 or early 2008. The company plans to further prospecting the area.
