The Board of Directors of EGL (Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft Laufenburg AG) has appointed Hans Schulz as the new CEO of the EGL Group. Hans Schulz will take over operational management as of 1 October 2007. He will replace the current CEO Emanuel Höhener who, as already announced, will be stepping down at the end of the 2006/07 financial year.
Since October 2006, Hans Schulz has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Axpo Holding AG and manages both the Networks as well as the Trade and Sales divisions of Axpo’s subsidiary NOK (Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke AG). He has extensive management experience in the industry. Since 1987 he has been working in the Balzers division of the Oerlikon group and has led this division and its 2.400 employees around the globe for the past ten years. Mr. Schulz holds a doctorate in materials engineering and a degree in business engineering.
