Belarus to Import 21 BCM of Russian Gas Next Year (17/10/2007)

Belarusian Energy Minister Alexander Ozerets said his country has reached an agreement with Russia under which it will import 21 bcm of natural gas in 2008, Interfax reported. "In the first quarter 6.5 bcm of gas will be delivered; in the second, 4.55 bcm; in the third, 4.39 bcm; and in the fourth, 6.18 bcm," Ozerets told a cabinet meeting. Ozerets also expects that 6.35 bcm of Russian natural gas would be sold to Belarus in the fourth quarter of this year. (AFX News)
