Oil shipments through a pipeline from Iraq's Kirkuk oil fields into the
Turkish Mediterranean export terminal Ceyhan have been resumed, an
Iraqi oil official said Thursday.
Shipments through the pipeline were halted when gunmen attacked the pipeline earlier in the week.
"Saboteurs attacked the pipeline three days ago, but we were
able to repair it and the flow has been now resumed," the official
said.
Oil is now flowing at a rate of 350,000 barrels a day, he added.
Earlier a shipping agent said no crude oil was flowing through the pipeline to Ceyhan at 1100 local time Thursday.
