Reserves at Russia's Shtokman natural gas field total 3.8 trillion
cubic meters and 37 million metric tons of gas condensate, Russian
domestic gas monopoly OAO Gazprom Thursday said in a release.
Gazprom controls the Shtokman Development Company, which is
responsible for the field development's first phase, with StatoilHydro
ASA having a 24% equity interest in the project and Total SA, a 25% stake.
Gazprom said it will create a special investment vehicle for
the project before Dec. 20, and that it expects the first gas to come
off the field in 2013.
Total has said recently that it fully expects to be able to
book a share of the field's reserves, in spite of its minority interest
in the project.
