Russian gas monopoly OAO Gazprom isn't expecting any changes
to the construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline project between
Russia and Germany, Interfax news agency reported Monday, citing Chief
Executive Alexei Miller.
Miller's statement is a rejection of comments by the
project's technical director Sergei Serdukov, who said earlier in
November that the project had been delayed by six months.
Serdukov had put the delays down to the process of getting approval for the project from countries in the Baltic.
"We are working on ecological agreements with the Baltic countries," Miller told journalists.
The first gas from the Gazprom-led pipeline is due to be delivered at the beginning of 2011
