StatoilHydro ASA (STO) said Friday that its Kristin and Huldra fields are both offline, the former due to storms which have reduced lifeboat capacity, and the latter for "technical reasons."
Company spokesman Vegar Stokset said: "Kristin closed down last night completely. It was planned to close in at around 1730 GMT."
"It's expected to start back some time today," he added. "Huldra is down for other technical reasons related to (testing at) Heimdal," Stokset said.
A number of StatoilHydro's other Norwegian fields have reduced personnel levels due to problems with lifeboats which could limit the number of evacuation places during the current stormy weather in the region.
