StatoilHydro said Tuesday that on behalf of the Gjoa licence and the future operator, Gaz de France, it has awarded the main operations support contract for the Gjoa platform in the North Sea to IKM Gruppen.
The contract will be formally signed between Gaz de France Norge and IKM Gruppen.
Under the contract 55 contractors will be hired for the operating organisations in Stavanger, Floro and for the Gjoa platform offshore.
IKM will also deliver engineering services in Floro, and as require. The contract will run for five years, with an option to extend for two years. The contract is worth NOK445 million, including the option.
The partners in the Gjoea licence are: StatoilHydro (operator in the development phase) 20%, Gaz de France Norge (operator in the operating phase) 30%, Petoro 30%, Shell 12% and RWE Dea 8%.
