French gas company Gaz de France (1020848.FR) is interested in all pipeline projects it could potentially take part in, following a decision by the Nabucco gas pipeline consortium to take on RWE AG (RWE.XE) as its sixth partner, the company said Thursday.

GdF "takes note" of the consortium's decision and is free to consider taking part in other pipelines, a spokesman for the company told Dow Jones Newswires.
If the Nabucco consortium, Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH, is interested in taking a seventh partner, GdF "will take a look, as with other projects," the spokesman said.
Apart from RWE, the five other partners in the $7.4 billion Nabucco project are Austria's OMV AG (OMV.VI), Hungary's MOL (MOL.BU), Romania's Transgaz, Bulgargaz of Bulgaria and Turkey's Botas.
