German utility E.On AG (EOA.XE) is in talks over selling its subsidiary Thuega, German manager-magazin.de reports Friday, citing people close to public utilities.
With the sale of Thuega, E.On would give up all of its stakes in public utilities, the magazine says. A consortium of six public utilities, lead by Mannheimer MVV and Rheinenergie Koeln, is the potential buyer, the magazine adds.
"This is market speculation and we don't comment on market speculation," an E.On spokesman said.
