Russia will back U.N. sanctions against Iran if Tehran doesn't stop uranium enrichment within days, the RIA Novosti news agency reported Wednesday, citing Russia's official U.N. representative Vitaly Churkin.
"Iran still hasn't fulfilled the demands set out in the two previous Security Council resolutions," Churkin told reporters.
The U.S. and its European allies are pushing for a new sanctions resolution after the U.N. atomic watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, said it still couldn't confirm if Iran's atomic drive was peaceful.
