Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) is in talks with several buyers, including Italian grid Terna SpA (TRN.MI), about the potential sale of its high-tension power lines, Chief Executive Fulvio Conti said Thursday.
Enel's CEO was speaking to reporters at a press conference in Moscow. He didn't give a value for the deal.
A person familiar with the matter told Dow Jones Newswires last month the 19,000 kilometers of Italian lines are initially valued at EUR1 billion to EUR1.5 billion.
A decision on the sale may take place in coming weeks, Conti told reporters.
