Former electricity monopoly RAO Unified Energy System of Russia Thursday said its net profit for the nine months to September 2007 almost doubled on the year to 36 billion rubles ($1.53 billion) on sales of its subsidiaries.
The company said its consolidated revenue, calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards was RUB624.7 billion.
UES' financial statements tend not to have a direct impact on its share price, which depends more on progress made in the government's restructuring plan for the sector.
