Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Nyrt. (MOL.BU) said Wednesday that French bank BNP Paribas SA (13110.FR) holds 7.03% indirect voting rights in the Hungarian company.
BNP initially purchased 7,561,680 series 'A' MOL shares in December 2005 and the French lender purchased and sold additional MOL shares in the period since.
Immediately following the acquisitions of MOL shares, BNP transferred the ownership of these shares to its fully-owned subsidiary BNP Paribas Arbitrage SNC.
BNP Arbitrage currently owns 7,694,725 series 'A' MOL shares, which provide a 7.03% voting right. BNP Paribas' voting rights equal the direct voting right of BNP Arbitrage.
