British Energy PLC (BGY.LN) restarted both units at its Sizewell B nuclear power station on Wednesday evening, according to data provided by the U.K. power grid operator National Grid PLC (NGG).
British Energy restarted its 594 megawatt Sizewell B unit 1 at 1856 GMT on Wednesday and restarted its 594 megawatt Sizewell B unit 2 at 2356 GMT, according to data provided by the grid operator.
The company's CEO Bill Coley said Wednesday that Sizewell B was due to return to service "within days" after an instrument problem closed the plant Tuesday.
Separately a nuclear reactor at Hunterston B nuclear power station shut down unexpectedly on Wednesday prior to restarting the Sizewell units.
