German labor union ver.di said Wednesday it has struck an agreement over pay with energy company E.ON AG (EOA.XE).
Under the agreement, which covers around 30,000 employees, wages will be increased by 5.4% from May 2008 retrospectively and by another 3.8% as of May 1, 2009.
Trainees will receive EUR60 more a month as of May 1 and an additional EUR60 a month from May 1, 2009 on.
The wage agreement is valid from May 1, 2008 on and will run for 24 months, ver.di said.
