Vestas Wind Friday said it received an order for a total of 61 wind turbines (112 MW) for four projects in Spain. The order comprises 49 units of the V90-1.8 MW wind turbine and 12 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine. The order includes supply, installation, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, as well as a five-year service and availability contract.
At the customer's request, details about the project ownership cannot be disclosed at this time.
Delivery and commissioning of the wind turbines are scheduled to start in 2009.
The four wind power plants will provide enough electricity to power more than 58,700 Spanish households and save the environment from more than 157,000 tons of CO2 per year.
The above order does not affect the Vestas Group's expectations for 2008, cf. company announcement No. 25/2008 of May. 8 2008.
