In a pre-announced deal Dutch gas company Nederlandse Gasunie NV has joined OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), E.ON Ruhrgas (EOA.XE) and Wintershall Holding in the Nord Stream AG gas pipeline project with a 9% stake, Gazprom said Friday.
As a result, E.ON Ruhrgas and Wintershall Holding have decreased their stakes by 4.5% each to 20%.
Gazprom remains controlling shareholder with a 51% stake.
The Nord Stream project is a pipeline project connecting Russia with western Europe through the Baltic Sea.
The deal was agreed last year, but has now been officially completed.
