Azerbaijan produced an average of 1,005,590 barrels of oil a day in June, up 8.7% on the previous month, the country's two producers said Monday.
BP PLC (BP) said it pumped 830,733 barrels a day in June, 10.7% more than the previous month. The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, or SOCAR, said it produced 174,857 barrels a day in June, up 0.1% on the month.
An average of 807,277 barrels a day of oil was exported in June, down 4.5% from May.
The figure for the whole of 2007 was 305.8 million barrels, 29% more than the previous year.
Oil is mainly exported to Europe through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline connecting Azerbaijan and Turkey.
