Iraq's crude oil exports from northern oil fields fell 355,200 barrels a day over the last two days due to power cuts and shortages of crude production, a Middle East shipping agent said Tuesday.

"Iraq oil export rate from (the Turkish terminal of) Ceyhan went down to an average of 3,200 barrels an hour (or 76,000 barrels a day) since yesterday (Monday)," the shipping agent told Dow Jones Newswires by telephone from Ceyhan.

The agent said that the average per hour Iraqi exports from Ceyhan in the past used to be at 18,000 barrels an hour, or 432,000 barrels a day.

He said that Iraqi crude oil exports from Ceyhan port in the Mediterranean stopped completely for two to three days last week.

"According to papers received from the Iraqi authorities, power cuts and shortages of crude production has caused the suspension and decline in exports," the agent said.

Iraqi oil officials are not available to comment.
