Russian oil major Gazprom Neft (SIBN.RS) denied Tuesday the Federal Antimonopoly Service's allegation it had colluded with other oil companies to set excessively high jet and diesel fuel prices, the Prime-Tass news agency reported.

Natalya Vyalkina, a spokesman for Gazprom Neft, said the company's pricing policy was based on global and domestic market prices.

She said, however, the company was prepared to cooperate with the antitrust watchdog.

The agency said Tuesday it had opened a probe against Gazprom Neft, Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS), TNK-BP Holding (TNBP.RS), Rosneft (ROSN.RS) and Surgutneftegas (SGTZY). The antitrust watchdog said it believed the companies had abused their dominant position on the market by setting high wholesale prices for jet and diesel fuel.
