Zhaikmunai L.P. (ZKM.LN), an independent oil and gas producer in northwestern Kazakhstan, said Monday its oil production had returned to previous levels of 6,700 barrels a day.
"The shortage of rail car capacity that temporarily reduced output from Chinarevskoye field has been resolved," the company said in a statement.
"Long-term lease arrangements have also been put in place to ensure adequate supply of rail cars in the future."
The company reported last month that the shortage of rail cars for oil shipment had caused a decline of oil production to 2,000 barrels a day.
The company plans to increase its production by 20% from the full capacity of 6,700 barrels a day by the end of this year.
Zhaikmunai says its proven plus probable hydrocarbon reserves equal 397 million barrels of oil equivalent.
