ANKARA (Dow Jones)--Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler said Monday his government hopes to finalize preliminary energy agreements with Iran in a month, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.
"We will hold important talks with Iran in a month, we hope to finalize the studies we have started before, during this period," Guler said holding a news conference.
Turkey has signed preliminary deals with Iran for construction of a gas pipe-line running through Turkey to sell Iranian and Turkmen gas to Europe, developing three phases of Iran's South Pars gas field and construction of several gas-fired and hydro-electric power plants in Iran and Turkey.
