LONDON (Dow Jones)--BP PLC (BP) is likely to discuss as early as next month whether Robert Dudley can stay as chief executive of TNK-BP Holding (TNBP.RS), its Russian oil and gas joint venture, the Financial Times reports Monday, citing BP.
The issue is expected to come up at the TNK-BP board meeting Sept. 25.
BP said: "Management issues are likely to be discussed but final agendas have not yet been set."
Dudley is now running the company from a secret location outside Russia after a spat between the company's joint venture partners AAR erupted into a battle for control of the company.
Tony Hayward, BP's chief executive, said Dudley can only run TNK-BP from outside Russia for a matter of months. Dudley has been barred from holding an executive position in a Russian company by Moscow's labor court, although BP is currently appealing the ruling.
