ISTANBUL (IHA)--Turkish media-to-energy conglomerate Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (DOHOL2.IS) said Wednesday that together with Anadolu Endustri Holding it has agreed to work with Unit Investment N.V. and Canadian nuclear power firm Bruce Power Inc. to submit a bid in a tender to build and operate Turkey's first nuclear power station.
In its statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange, the company didn't elaborate further.
The deadline for bids for the tender is Sept. 24. The power station, which will have a capacity of about 4,000 megawatts, will be built at Akkuyu in the southern province of Mersin.
Applications for the tender have so far come from Canada, Japan, France, Belgium and Russia.
