French electricity distribution network ERDF, a subsidiary of state controlled utility Electricite de France (1024251.FR), is to ask for a 15% hike in distribution tariffs, ERDF's board chairman Michel Francony said in an interview published Wednesday.
ERDF, which is responsible for 95% of France's electricity distribution network, is asking France's energy regulation commission, the CRE, to spread the hike out between 2009 and 2012, Francony said in the interview with French business daily La Tribune.
La Tribune notes that the CRE is proposing an 8% hike.
