Kazakhstan's state oil and gas company KazMunaiGas said Friday it produced 13.3 million metric tons of oil and gas condensate in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year rise of 8.5%.
KazMunaiGas, or KMG, said in a statement that the rise of production was due to increased output at the giant Tengiz field, operated by Chevron Corp. (CVX)-led (CVX) Tengizchevroil, and consolidation of production at Karazhanbasmunai into the company's figures.
The production figures included KMG's share of output in companies such as KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (RDGZ.KZ) and Tengizchevroil.
KMG's subsidiary AO Kaztransoil transported 45.5 million tons of oil, an increase of 20.8% compared with the same period of 2007, the company said.
Another KMG subsidiary, AO Intergas Central Asia, shipped 87.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, due to the rise of natural gas shipment volumes to Russia, KMG said.
KMG's consolidated revenues doubled to 2.35 trillion tenge ($19.7 billion) in the first nine months of this year, the company said.
