Alexei Miller, chief executive of Russian natural gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), and Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif Tuesday discussed gas swap operations and cooperation in liquefied natural gas projects, Gazprom said in a statement, news agency Prime-Tass reported.
They also discussed investment possibilities in Egypt's gas sector, the company said.
Miller and Nazif confirmed their mutual interest in creating a permanent organization of gas exporting countries, Gazprom said.
Russia, Iran, and Qatar agreed in late October to form an organization of gas exporting countries.
