Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service has fined oil majors TNK-BP (TNBP.RS) and Gazprom Neft (SIBN.RS) over 1 billion rubles ($36.5 million) each for abusing their dominant positions in the oil products market, a spokesperson for the service told Prime-Tass Monday.
Earlier, the antimonopoly service launched a probe into the country's five largest oil companies in connection with rising prices for their oil products. Besides Gazprom Neft and TNK-BP, cases were opened against Rosneft (ROSN.RS), Lukoil (LKOH.RS) and Surgutneftegas (SNGS.RS).
