KIEV (AFP)--Kiev has blocked the transit of gas to Europe because of "unacceptable transit conditions" imposed by Russian energy company OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), a spokesman for Ukraine's state gas company Naftogaz said Tuesday.
"Russian gas bound for Europe is not going through the Ukrainian gas pipeline system due to unacceptable transit conditions imposed by Gazprom," spokesman Valentin Zemlyansky told AFP, without elaborating.
