Uzbekistan is ready to transit 16 billion cubic meters of gas to Russian gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), the news agency Interfax reported Friday citing Uzbekistan's President Islam Karimov.
"We are ready to ship even more," the agency cited Karimov as saying.
"We sell gas to Russia and Russia only, and who Russia sells the gas to - it is in their decision and competency," Karimov said.
