The Bulgarian town of Plovdiv will be event number one in the news in the days between 22 and 24 April, when the town will host the World energy forum, announced the mayor of Plovdiv Slavcho Atanassov. 28 countries will be represented by their presidents or prime ministers.

So far the leaders of 20 countries have confirmed their participation. Russia is expected to be represented by its prime minister Vladimir Putin and the United States by the state secretary Hilary Clinton, the mayor explained. Only the American delegation will be between 400 and 700 people.

For the organization of the world forum a special team will be formed, which will include specialists on security, traffic organization, infrastructure and community service, said the mayor. The staff will start working immediately after the president's office informs Plovdiv officially about the hosting of the forum.
