Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) hopes to participate in contracts to work on Iraq's oil fields, Reuters reported Monday, citing Exxon's chief executive.
Chief Executive Rex Tillerson said he hopes "Iraq creates the conditions that will allow a company like Exxon Mobil to be a participant in a significant way," the news agency reported on its Web site.
Iraq is drawing up contracts for a bidding round for six giant oil fields, which make up a third of its reserves, it said.
