Russian gas export monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) expects to export 140 billion cubic meters of natural gas to countries outside the former Soviet Union in 2009, the Interfax news agency reported Tuesday citing the company's Deputy Chief Executive Alexander Medvedev.
That is down from 158.8 billion cubic meters last year, preliminary export figures show.
Medvedev also said he expects the average European export price to total $260 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2009, Interfax reported.
