The volume of gas moved through Ukraine to Europe in January to March fell just over 50% on the year to 17.6 billion cubic meters, the country's fuel and energy ministry said, reports the RIA Novosti news service Wednesday.
Ukraine's gas transportation network is Europe's second largest at 37,600 kilometers.
In January, a dispute between Russia and Ukraine led to Russian gas supplies to Europe being severed for almost two weeks.
