Sakhalin Energy, a joint venture between OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) with Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA), has secured a $1.4 billion credit line to fund its Sakhalin-2 oil and gas offshore project in Russia's Far East, the company said Thursday.
Sakhalin Energy, a joint venture between OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) with Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA), has secured a $1.4 billion credit line to fund its Sakhalin-2 oil and gas offshore project in Russia's Far East, the company said Thursday.

The money comes on top of a $5.3 billion loan recently provided by Japan Bank for International Cooperation and a consortium of international commercial banks. The company gave no details about the terms for the new credit line.

Sakhalin Energy has Japanese companies Mitsui & Co Ltd (8039.TO) and Mitsubishi Corp. (8058.TO) as minority shareholders.
