it is rolling out, newspaper Les Echos quotes an unnamed person close to the
country's nuclear safety authority as saying Monday.
The EPR-type reactor, designed by Areva SA (CEI.FR), is EDF's new standard
model, and the company is building the

without EDF.
French, Finnish and
U.K.
regulators have all raised questions over the control and instrumentation
system of Areva's flagship nuclear reactor.
"We have felt a notable increase in EDF's effort" to help resolve the
problem, and the first "technical elements" the company has offered
"seem encouraging," the newspaper quotes the person close to the
authority as saying.
A spokesperson at the authority wasn't immediately available for comment.
