French nuclear group Areva SA (CEI.FR) Wednesday said it is still in
discussions with state-controlled utility Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) on
cooperation on spent nuclear fuel and fuel enrichment.
"Discussions are ongoing," an Areva spokeswoman told Dow Jones
Newswires.
After meeting with company management Jan. 20, French Prime Minister Francois
Fillon said EDF and Areva had agreed to define within two weeks how they will
apply a framework agreement from 2008 on long-term cooperation on nuclear fuel.
An EDF
spokeswoman declined to comment.
