China has agreed with Russia on the price of natural gas it will import from its northern neighbor in the future, Beijing's top energy official said Thursday.
"We have reached a gas pricing formula with Russia for future imports, and this is a key part of our negotiations," said Zhang Guobao, head of the National Energy Administration and vice director of the National Development and Reform Commission.
The gas price will be linked to oil prices, Zhang said, but didn't elaborate further.
