Until I do to get enough guarantees and European investor is not found this to become European project I will not make the taxpayers to give money,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister (PM) Boyko Borisov said.
We can accept the Russian offer only if we have big European companies, which guarantee they will join the project, he said. Borisov said we will wait for an investor as long as it is necessary. In his words what the present government can to is to submit the activities on the project to a prosecutor, U.S. Department and the European Commission to show there is a political will for fighting corruption.
We gave BGN 200 million for the equipment of the two units of the power plant and we owe another BGN 1.1 billion default and BGN 0.5 billion under loans, Borisov said further.
