Iraq February Oil Revenues At $4.229 Billion - Oil Ministry

Sales from Iraqi crude oil exports in February totaled $4.229 billion compared with $4.416 billion in the previous month, the Iraqi Oil Ministry said in a statement Tuesday. It said the State Oil Marketing Organization, or SOMO, sold its crude in February at an average monthly price of $73.04 a barrel, compared with $73.97 a barrel in January.

It said the State Oil Marketing Organization, or SOMO, sold its crude in February at an average monthly price of $73.04 a barrel, compared with $73.97 a barrel in January.

The ministry said
Iraq exported an average of 2.067 million barrels a day in February, slightly down from the 2.069 million barrels a day figure given to Dow Jones Newswires earlier this month by SOMO head Falah Alamri.

In January
Iraq 's exports averaged 1.925 million barrels a day, the ministry said.

Iraq 's total oil revenues during the first two months 2010 reached $8.645 billion. Last year Iraq 's oil revenues reached $41.329 billion, compared with $60 billion in 2008.
