Russia produced a post-Soviet record of 10.12 million barrels a day of crude oil and gas condensate in March, a rise of 0.4% from February, the Interfax news agency reported Friday citing statistics from the energy ministry.

The country produced 42.812 million metric tons of oil in March. In the first three months of the year,
Russia 's production totaled 123.864 million tons of crude oil and condensate, up 3.2% on the year.

State-controlled OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) produced 2.24 million barrels a day on average in the month, OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) 1.83 million barrels, TNK-BP Ltd. 1.43 million barrels, OAO Surgutneftegaz (SNGS.RS) 1.18 million barrels and OAO Gazprom Neft (SIBN.RS) 595,385 barrels.

Gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) produced 47.31 billion cubic meters of natural gas in March, with a daily average of 1.5 billion cubic meters. The average daily output in February was 1.63 billion cubic meters.

Russia 's overall gas production stood at 60.03 billion cubic meters in March.
